Tampa’s @trueself.music (Aidan Draxten) is carrying the torch for Florida’s electro and breaks scene. Still in his early 20s, he represents the next wave of producers coming out of a state that has always been a global hotspot for the sound.

Growing up surrounded by the sounds of electro legends like Magic Mike, Babyanne, and DJ Icey, Aidan immersed himself in the roots of the culture. He's not your average youngin, and shows a degree of studiousness to his craft that you don't see every day. He collects vinyl, works with hardware, and studies the history of the music with dedication that shows in his tracks and DJ sets.

Beyond the studio, he is passionate about fostering a sense of community in the scene. He helped organize the Dark Moon campout, quarterbacked the Synergy Saturdays series in Daytona, and appears regularly at clubs and events across Florida. He recently co-founded Neighborhood Rhythms with his business partner Suspense, a label dedicated to fostering a tight-knit collective of electro and breaks talent from Florida and beyond.

His Research Agency release “Hindorian - Graive Consequences (Trueself Remix)” hit the Hypeddit Top 100 and marked a strong debut with us earlier this year. Most recently, he dropped his “Forward Thinking Breaks” promo mix on Soundcloud, showcasing the energy and vision that make him one to watch.
